nxtedition brings integrated production and agentic AI to CABSAT 2026

nxtedition will return to CABSAT 2026 on Stand 102, bringing the latest developments in its consolidated production platform to Dubai, including agentic AI working across the production chain from incoming content through to the gallery. 

The nxtedition platform brings scripting, media management, editing, graphics, ingest, automation, playout and publishing into a single production environment. At CABSAT, the team will demonstrate how that shared environment gives AI agents access to the same production functions and context already used by journalists, producers and directors. 

In a complete production workflow, an agent can work from incoming newswire content, develop a story, find relevant video, populate graphics templates and assemble a running script with prompter text, VTs and graphics. The production can then move through to studio recording and gallery control without exporting content between separate products. 

Editorial control remains with the production team throughout. Journalists and directors can review, edit or reject the work proposed by an agent, with each step visible within the same story-centric planning and rundown environment. 

Visitors will also be able to see recent developments across nxtedition’s everyday production workflow, including real-time collaborative scripting, transcript-based editing in nxt|edit, enhanced voiceover functions, a 16-track audio mixer, speaker diarisation, subtitle styling and semantic and textual search. 

AI processing can run locally on the broadcaster’s own GPU infrastructure, supporting workflows where organisations want to keep content and processing within their own environment. nxtedition is model-agnostic and can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud or as a hybrid system.
