VSF Technical Recommendation 04. Utilization of ST 2022-6 media flows within a VSF TR-03 environment. This Technical Recommendation builds upon the system defined in VSF TR-03, and defines SMPTE ST 2022-6 as a video payload and AES-67 as an audio payload within those structures. The resulting method allows for the SDI multiplex, as well as the individual audio and metadata streams, to be individually forwarded through a network. It covers the use of PTP (Precision Time Protocol – IEEE 1588) so synchronize the audio and video streams.
It also describes the format of an SDP (Session Description Protocol) object which a sending device can used to describe the streams.
