Sina Kunkel

Audio is my passion, and it is the field in which I want to build my career. At 21, I already have more than six years of hands-on experience in live sound, mixing concerts both as a in-house engineer at a live music venue in Germany and as a freelance sound engineer on tour. Working in these environments has given me a solid practical foundation and sparked my curiosity about the technology behind the sound.

I want to take my understanding of audio beyond operating the console and explore how the tools and systems I work with are designed, engineered, and developed. Through my degree in media technology, I am expanding my technical knowledge with the long-term ambition of contributing to the development of professional audio technology.

My commitment to the field has been recognised through a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation).
I am currently looking for a six-month industry placement starting in March/April 2027, where I can combine my practical experience with my technical interests, learn from experienced engineers, and take the next step towards a career in audio technology.
