Samuel Georgeson

I am an effective communicator with a strong interest in sports journalism, sports broadcasting and live reporting, particularly within football and boxing. I enjoy working in dynamic sporting environments where I can use my sports knowledge and communication skills to tell engaging stories.

During my experience and degree thus far, I have proven abilities to communicate confidently during live sports broadcasts, including commentating on the Welsh Amateur Boxing National Finals, whilst also gaining experience in professional sport media environments like the WRU (Welsh Rugby Union).

Whilst my CV experience has covered several areas of the sports media landscape, I am extremely interested in developing my written editorial reporting, interviewing and live broadcasting skills.

I want to be proactive and build my career alongside completing my final year of my degree. I am keen to expand my professional network, learning from professionals that are already established within sport, gaining as much meaningful experience as possible. Rather than waiting until my graduation to begin making connections within the industry, I want to build a strong network now, because an understanding and valuable experience will guide where my skills can take me within sport.
