IAMT launches Talent Portal to connect students with the companies building MediaTech

Published On: 11 September, 2026

A free, searchable directory of emerging talent, open now to students and to all IAMT member companies.

IAMT has launched the Talent Portal, a new platform connecting students and recent graduates with the media technology companies looking to hire them.

The industry’s skills gap is well documented. Employers report difficulty finding people with the right mix of broadcast engineering, IP networking, cloud and production skills, while students leaving specialist courses often struggle to find a route into an industry they may not know exists. The Talent Portal is built to close that gap directly.

For students, it is free. A profile takes minutes to create and puts their skills, course and ambitions in front of the IAMT membership, whether they are looking for a first job, an internship, a placement or work experience. Profiles are searchable worldwide.

For members, it is a live talent pipeline. Companies can browse profiles by skill and by region, covering everything from ST 2110 and playout to colour grading, VFX, UX design and software development. Members log in to contact a student directly.

The portal is already populated with profiles from students at institutions including INSA Hauts-de-France, Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, Solent University and InHolland, with more joining each week.

The Talent Portal sits alongside IAMT Skills & Development, which runs the association’s training courses and student bursary programme, and forms part of IAMT’s wider commitment to bringing new people into media technology and keeping them here.
