Dante was developed by Sydney-based company Audinate. It uses Bonjour for discovery. It is similar to AES-67 and can operate in an AES-67 compatible mode (when it uses SAP – Session Announcement Protocol – for discovery).
Audinate licenses Dante to other companies which have in turn produced many products incorporating the Dante technology
