Zak Williams

Zak is an AI & Cybersecurity researcher with an interest in audio-visual processing. They recently investigated data exfiltration over covert acoustic channels; Currently investigating sovereign AI inference at AI-cyber research startup 'amber.systems'.
They've worked on audiovisual projects in speech processing, facial recognition, sentiment analysis and medical imaging. They have applied AI in business analytics, customer service and public infrastructure risk management contexts.

Zak found the world of media technology through their activities as a freelance audio engineer and via their university's student-run TV and radio stations! In their final year of study they co-lead the tech team for both. They maintained IP radio and TV systems including for OB, and organised events connecting students & faculty with industry. They've spent the last year attending conferences and familiarising themselves with the latest standards, architectures and industry trends.

Zak is interested in both R&D and engineering roles.
They're looking for an organisation interested in audio-visual processing and machine learning/artificial intelligence R&D. They are especially interested in cloud-native solutions and media functions as they expect DMF to be increasingly popular in the future.
They've also developed a love for solutions engineering and live events in recent years. If the place is right, they would love to join a company interested in nurturing their skills as a broadcast engineer.
