Mathias COTIN

I'm Mathias, a final-year engineering student at INSA Hauts-de-France, specializing in audiovisual and multimedia engineering. I recently spent five months at Voxel Research Lab in Poland, where I built data pipelines for high-frequency sensor data and developed VR serious games for children's motor rehabilitation, including a real-time calibration engine and a locomotion system based on the user's center of mass. That internship sits right at the intersection of engineering, signal processing and healthcare, and it's exactly where I want to keep building my career.

Right now I'm on academic exchange at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, specializing in psychophysiology, so I'm spending a lot of time thinking about how engineering and the human body meet, from wearable sensors to real-time signal processing to immersive rehabilitation tools. I also work in MATLAB for image and video processing, and I've picked up some embedded systems experience along the way, ESP32 and FPGA/VHDL mostly. Outside of coursework, I've spent the last few years leading a student tutoring association of 90 tutors, which has taught me as much about people and organization as my technical work has taught me about code.

I'm looking for an end-of-studies internship starting in January, ideally in Switzerland, in medtech, VR or biosignal-related engineering.
