Roxane Boudesocque

I’m Roxane, an audiovisual student with a background in journalism, currently working towards becoming a cinematographer. I discovered how much I loved being behind the camera while working as a journalist. I enjoyed taking the time to compose an image, observe people in their everyday lives, and find ways to convey something about them through a few carefully chosen frames. I’m now looking to develop my technical skills in camera and lighting, and I’m seeking an internship as a camera assistant, video technician, or camera operator.

My journalistic background taught me to observe, listen, put people at ease, and stay curious about them. I find these skills just as useful on a film set, especially when trying to understand a director or artist’s intentions and translate them visually. I’m calm under pressure and tend to anticipate problems as much as possible, while staying flexible when things inevitably change. I also learn best by doing, experimenting, making mistakes, and listening to people with more experience than me.

I’m particularly interested in cinema and music videos, but I’m open to working with any creative team whose projects have something meaningful to say. Outside of filmmaking, I’m drawn to nature, animals and hiking, and I spend a lot of time drawing and painting. I’m looking for a team where people trust each other, share their knowledge, and give each other room to experiment. I’m curious, adaptable, and happy to get involved wherever I can be useful.

Director & Screenwriter, fiction short film Dépareillées, Master’s project, 2026 – wrote the screenplay, developed the artistic and technical brief, directed actors, collaborated with the cinematographer on shot lists and camera/lighting plans, managed a 3 days shoot and post-production.

Camera Operator, documentary Essence, Master’s project, 2026 – prepared the shooting setup, proposed framing and compositions, filmed interviews and observational sequences (Sony FX6 & Sony Burano)

Camera Operator & Editor, film for Parc Naturel Régional Scarpe-Escaut, 2026 – prepared camera equipment, shoot on locaation, and edited the final film.

TV News Journalist, Canal 32, work-study placement, 2024–2025 – produced news reports, interviews and features for the TV news, including camera operation, writing and editing; also worked on cultural programmes.
