IAMT CEO Update: Accelerating Our Momentum Together

Published On: 13 July, 2026

Dear Members, Partners, and Friends,

What an extraordinary, whirlwind quarter it has been for the International Association of MediaTech (IAMT) formerly IABM!

When we officially unveiled our new identity at the NAB Show in Las Vegas this April, we knew we were stepping onto a bold launchpad. However, the response we have received since, from our members, partners, the market, and global press has been nothing short of fantastic.

A Resounding Validation of Our Strategic Move

The strategic shift from IABM to IAMT was never just a fresh coat of paint; it was a fundamental realignment to match a permanently disrupted media value chain. The market reality is that we have moved decisively away from legacy, hardware-centric silos into a fluid, software-defined, and cloud-integrated ecosystem, not losing our broadcast foundations, but building on top to help our members do more business across expanding, high growth parallel markets.

The success of our repositioning has been validated across every pillar of our community:

  • By Members: Our members have embraced this change as a crucial lever for collective growth: many were already adding to and/or diversifying their offerings into streaming, enterprise media, and emerging MediaTech market sectors.
  • By Partners & Press: Global trade press and industry partners who already recognized IABM as an independent, neutral, trade association, following the re-launch to IAMT and the introduction of our new IAMT MarketPlace and IAMT MAI, now see our new digital portal and website (theiamt.org) as the trusted destination for MediaTech industry thought leadership and product and service innovation, while our new Platinum Partnership with Media City Qatar highlights how international markets look to IAMT to connect regional growth with global MediaTech expertise.

Capitalizing on Innovation: IAMT MAI™ & The IAMT MarketPlace

At the heart of IAMT’s transformation are two powerful digital solutions designed specifically to turn this expanded reach into a business advantage for our members: IAMT MAI™ (our agentic AI model developed with Alpha Cogs) and the brand-new IAMT MarketPlace.

We have seen an incredible amount of members uploading and refreshing their IAMT MarketPlace profile pages since launch. This isn’t just about maintaining an online directory or static shop window; IAMT MarketPlace directly feeds the intelligence of IAMT MAI. Trained across the IAMT new website, IAMT Journal, IAMT MarketPlace, IAMT MAI is an active, 24/7 global advocate for members.

This is no chat bot!

Using Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), IAMT MAI synthesizes IAMT members’ IAMT Journal articles, case studies, product specs, white papers, news announcements, press releases and more to proactively champion our members and cites your company as the definitive, authoritative answer to Meditech buyer questions.

IAMT Global Thought Leadership: Inspiring the Industry

Another key component of this quarter’s success was amplified by IAMT member and MediaTech buyer thought leadership delivered across three continents.

Kicking off with our massive (and incredibly successful) relaunch at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, our flagship IAMT State of MediaTech Report was revamped following the IAMT voice of member survey, and was presented alongside speakers from SKY, Imagine Communications, and Skyline Communications.

For the first time in 10 years, thanks to the generosity and support of Ms Charlotte Wheeler, IAMT had a presence at MPTS in London, supporting members across the show, delivering buyer tours, and also supporting new industry talent with RISE.

At BroadcastAsia in Singapore: IAMT hosted pivotal, high-attendance panels focusing on the rapid deployment of cloud workflows and data-driven localization strategies across the APAC region. A core highlight was leading a highly targeted forum on how region-specific broadcasters can transition away from legacy infrastructure into fluid, cloud-integrated ecosystems without breaking operational continuity. BCA also included our first “All Aussie” member panel with Switch Media, TAG NS and Synamedia, together with a seriously high energy session moderated by IAMT APAC Council Member Judy Zu from KilowView with Etere and Encompass.

At InfoComm in another ‘first’ we had our IAMT Mini Hub in prime position on the show floor and delivered thought leadership sessions which zeroed in on the expanding Enterprise AV market opportunity. IAMT CEO Saleha Williams and CTO Stan Moote, delivered vital cross-industry discussions on the convergence of Pro AV and broadcast, specifically highlighting the growth of enterprise media, corporate studio builds, and next-generation collaborative workspaces with member speakers from Grass Valley, PTZOptics, Sennheiser and Canon demonstrating how MediaTech providers can capture massive, immediate value in these adjacent, high-growth business sectors.

Pre-planning for IBC

The conference season naturally quietens down a little for July and Aug, but the IAMT team are still actively pushing forward as we plan for and with IBC. Building on our new, innovative member services, actively we are supporting IAMT members exhibiting and attending the show. We will also be advocating for members who aren’t at IBC by capitalising on IAMT MarketPlace and IAMT MAI

Final words

I want to extend a massive thank you to all our  IAMT members, our IAMT Members’ Board and Supervisory Group, the IAMT Councils, our partners, and the incredible IAMT team for your tireless work and unwavering support during this historic quarter.

None of this would be possible without you.

We have proven that when we move together, we don’t just navigate a changing global landscape—we shape it.

Warm regards,

Saleha Williams CEO, IAMT
